Who are Sign UP? What makes you different from other companies?
Sign Up Digital is a digital marketing and advertising agency. It was founded in 2015 and is a smaller agency with a team of 7 to 8 employees, but with the ambition to grow into a larger one with 20 to 25 employees. Although it was founded 6 years ago, its founders are professionals who have many years of experience in this field.
In fact, Sign Up Digital combines 20 years of experience in traditional marketing with new tools, means and possibilities of digital marketing and online communication. Our goal is to offer creative and original product in advertising communication that will be seriously competitive to the big players in this sector.
This is the first year you join our mentoring program for Social Media Designer. What do you expect from it and what are the benefits for you as a company?
The cooperation with Semos Education is essential for us as an agency. With the inclusion in the mentoring program, we have an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and share common interests that are crucial for our profession. The goal is creation of quality educated staff in the field of IT, digital marketing, graphic design and similar staff that is always needed by marketing agencies.
Social Media Designer is one of the most popular professions today. Why is it becoming more and more popular?
We believe that the popularity is due to the need for Digital Account Managers to know and learn more different skills that combine graphic design and digital marketing into one. There is a need for a Social Media Designer to know how to create appropriate content, how to optimally use the tools offered by social media for the promotion of a brand, and at the same time to have basic knowledge of graphic design applications. I believe that in the coming period the need for upgrading these skills in the profession of Social Media Designer will increase even more.
What advice would you give to anyone who would like to join our mentoring program?
Not only advice, but a suggestion to participate in such programs. It is necessary for the marketing agencies to be indirectly involved in the creation of the educational programs for IT and graphic design and thereby contribute to the process of training of new quality staff. The benefit is shared by all. In this way, Semos Education will get realistic parameters on how to create their programs, students will get quality education, compatible with market and economic trends, and agencies will have prepared staff ready to get involved and implement real projects and tasks.
Finally, what skills should the potential candidate for internship or employment possess?
The ambition and affinities are crucial for an intern who wants to be part of the team of a marketing agency. Naturally, quality education and basic skills acquired in appropriate academies and schools is crucial for easier advancement in the profession. Sigh Up Digital has its doors wide open for all interns who meet these few conditions and invests a large part of its resources, knowledge and experience to upgrade their skills in the shortest possible time and provide them with conditions to build a professional career.
