Implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection (9 modules)

In this section you learn how to classify and label sensitive data so that it is automatically protected. You explore sensitivity labels for documents, emails, and Teams chats, apply encryption and access restrictions, and configure auto-labeling policies to scale protection across the organization. The goal is to ensure that confidential information is consistently safeguarded wherever it resides.

Implement and Manage Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (5 modules)

Here the focus is on preventing sensitive data from leaving the organization unintentionally or maliciously. You learn how to create DLP policies that block or warn users when they attempt to share confidential information. You also practice monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, and applying DLP controls across Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and endpoint devices.

Implement and Manage Microsoft 365 Retention and Recovery (2 modules)

This part teaches you how to manage the lifecycle of information. You configure retention policies and labels to ensure data is preserved or deleted according to compliance requirements. You also explore recovery options for deleted or archived content, helping organizations remain compliant while still being able to restore important information when needed.

Implement and Manage Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management (5 modules)

In this section you learn to detect and respond to risky user behavior, such as data exfiltration or policy violations. You set up insider risk policies, investigate cases, and take corrective actions. The training emphasizes collaboration with HR and legal teams to resolve incidents responsibly, ensuring that insider threats are managed in a way that balances security with organizational trust.

Audit and Search Activity in Microsoft Purview (2 modules)

Finally, you learn how to track and investigate activity using audit logs. You perform forensic searches to uncover suspicious events and generate compliance reports that can be shared with regulators or stakeholders. This ensures transparency and accountability in how sensitive data is handled.
