Autodesk Revit MEP course is intended for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping engineers and architects who want to learn how to work on worlds most popular BIM platform for designing of various installations in buildings.

 

Autodesk Revit MEP is software application that provides fast, precise and quality preparation of complex projects for electrical, HVAC, plumbing and piping in buildings. 

  • Introduction to Autodesk Revit MEP 
  • Working with linked architectural files 
  • Creating and modifying views 
  • Understanding MEP systems in general 
  • Creating spaces and zones 
  • Analyzing heating and cooling loads 
  • Working with HVAC module to add air terminals, mechanical equipment, and create HVAC systems 
  • Working with the Piping module to add mechanical equipment as well as creating hydronic piping systems 
  • Working with fixtures, piping systems, and analysis tools in the Plumbing module 
  • Working with fire protection systems 
  • Working with components, circuits, cable tray, and conduits in the Electrical module

This course is aimed at:

 

  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping engineers and architects who want to learn how to work on worlds most popular BIM platform for designing of various installations in buildings 

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

 

  • Understand the principles of BIM technology and learn how to apply in the Autodesk Revit software 
  • Navigate the Autodesk Revit workspace and interface 
  • Insert and connect MEP components and using the System Browser 
  • Work with linked Revit files and CAD files 
  • Create spaces and zones so that heating and cooling load analysis can be performed 
  • Create HVAC networks with air terminals, mechanical equipment, ducts, and pipes 
  • Create plumbing networks with plumbing fixtures and pipes 
  • Create electrical circuits with electrical equipment, devices, and lighting fixtures and adding cable trays and conduits 
  • Create HVAC and plumbing systems with automatic duct and piping layouts 
  • Test duct, piping and electrical systems 
  • Create and annotate construction documents 
  • Adding tags and creating schedules 
  • Create 2D details in the Autodesk Revit software 
  • Set up sheets for plotting as technical documentation
