Success Story – Marija Jorgakievski
Tell us something about yourself? Who is Maria Jorgakievski?
Hi, I’m Maria. As a person, I am very positive, hardworking and responsible, always ready for teamwork. Graduated in
communication sciences and technologies, with many years of work experience in communications, education, sales and
marketing as a specialist, manager and trainer. I am very ambitious, I want to learn and acquire new knowledge that will
allow me to advance in my career.
How do you decide to become a Software Tester?
I was thinking about making a change in my career and after a short research and consultation with colleagues who had
already completed the Semos Education Academy, I made the decision to enroll at Automation Software Tester Academy and to
acquire the necessary skills that were needed to work as a Software Tester. I was particularly attracted by the
possibility of working in foreign companies that have flexible working hours and options to work from home, which I find
very useful in this day and age.
Describe your experience with the training and what you liked most about it.
The Academy at Semos Education helped me
acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to make a career change after 14 years of work experience. I
especially liked the lectures by the instructor Fisnik Doko, who conveyed his vast knowledge of the field to us in an
excellent way, but also the practical exercises after each new material, with which we could immediately apply what we
had learned.
What was the role of the Career Center in starting your career?
Thanks to a recommendation from the Career Center at Semos Education, I was able
to start a career as a software tester just one month after graduating at theAcademy, which is relatively fast, for which
I am very grateful. I got a job at KING ICT as a Junior Software Tester.
What would you say to young people and in general to people who want to work in the field of Software
Testing?
It is never too late to learn something new if we are determined to change and want to advance in our career. Invest in
yourself and your education because with persistence, work and effort, success is inevitable.
