The Designing Cisco Enterprise Wireless Networks (ENWLSD) course is designed for professionals aiming to deepen their knowledge in designing advanced Cisco wireless networks.

This course covers every stage of wireless design, from initial planning and scenario-based designs through to the installation phase and post-deployment validation. During this advanced-level training, participants will explore key topics such as wireless network infrastructure, mobility, site surveys, high availability, and more.

Through practical labs, hands-on exercises, and real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to plan, design, and optimize wireless networks using Cisco’s industry-leading products and tools. This course also prepares participants for the 300-425 ENWLSD exam, which is part of the CCNP® Enterprise and Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Wireless Design certifications. Additionally, participants can earn 40 Continuing Education (CE) credits towards Cisco recertification.

Participants should have:

  • A general knowledge of networking fundamentals
  • A basic understanding of wireless networks
  • Knowledge of routing and switching technologies

The following Cisco trainings can help you meet the prerequisites:

  • Implementing Cisco Wireless Network Fundamentals (WIFUND) and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1)
  • Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR) and Understanding Cisco Wireless Foundations (WLFNDU)

Modules and Learning Path

  • Module 1: Cisco-Recommended Structured Wireless Design Methodology

  • Module 2: Industry Standards, Certifications, and Requests for Comments (RFCs)

  • Module 3: Cisco Enhanced Wireless Features

  • Module 4: The Wireless Design Process

  • Module 5: Site Survey Processes and Network Validation

  • Module 6: Specific Vertical Designs

  • Module 7: Designing Wireless Networks Beyond Campus Networks

  • Module 8: Wireless Network Design Tools (Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Ekahau Pro)

  • Module 9: Post-Installation Network Validation Survey

This course is ideal for professionals in roles such as:

  • Wireless design engineers

  • Wireless engineers

  • Network administrators

  • Network engineers

  • Consulting systems engineers

  • Sales engineers

  • Technical solutions architects

  • Systems engineers

  • Network managers

Upon completing this course, participants will be prepared to pursue the Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Wireless Design certification, validating their advanced skills in designing Cisco wireless networks.
