Mentoring program for high school students - Web design with HTML&CSS

In this mentoring program, listeners will gain basic knowledge of web design and web programming. They will learn to create their own website, a final product that they can upgrade with the skills and knowledge they will acquire in the future. With this program the listener has a unique opportunity to obtain a certified diploma by taking the Information Technology Specialist exam - HTML & CSS, as well as working on a real project under the mentorship of our lecturers, professionals in the field.

Programming languages for creating web pages may seem too complex at first. If you are thinking of a skill like this and want to start learning it, you are likely to come across the abbreviations HTML and CSS first. These two basic tools create a part of the basics of any website. Although these programming languages are often used together in combination, each has its own role in performing a function when it comes to web programming. The key differences are in their implementation, ease of use, distinctive features and how they are structured. 

The program is divided into four parts:

• Basic HTML and CSS
• Advanced HTML and CSS
• Exam for obtaining an internationally recognized certificate - Information Technology Specialist - HTML & CSS
• Work on a real project with a mentor

After completing the first two parts there is an Information Technology Specialist exam. By passing this exam, students gain a certificate that confirms the learned expertise in programming with Python and strengthens logical thinking, creativity, and abstract thinking. The last part of the program is working on a practical project that is considered the most important part of the education process. With the help and support of the mentors, the students make a practical project in which they can use the previously acquired knowledge. Working on real projects contributes to the development of problem-solving skills. The biggest advantage of real projects is that they are part of the professional portfolio of the listeners and represent a step forward in their career development.
